My Gyrotonic Journey

Being a Pilates instructor for more than 10 years I felt that I need to expand my knowledge and experience something new, I started to feel bored.

Gyrotonic Method awoken me, I started to feel my body differently, my teaching approach changed ( in Pilates as well ) , went deeper into understanding how body moves, how breathing is important and how all this connection brings overall satisfaction.

Gyrotonic, also known as the Gyrotonic Expansion System, is a system of exercise that was developed by Juliu Horvath in the 1980s. It is centered around enhancing spinal movement in three dimensions. The system consists of two complementary exercise methods – the Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Methods.

I was in a difficult phase of my life during the training and what did I feel … ? The method was healing me, the breathing and movement flow was calming me down and I started to look at everything from different angle.

I am still in a journey and looking forward for more. Gyrotonic Method practice is what my body is seeking to weekly. Teaching is an essential part – the way I am learning to present this method to others and understand how different body moves differently .
